As a nursery practitioner your job will be to provide the children with a happy, homely, stimulating and safe environment to allow them to develop physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally each day at the setting. Our ethos is centred around the child and a child led pedagogy, The Curiosity Approach.

We are very conscious to promote a positive sense of wellbeing and morale throughout the setting within our staff team, and are looking for a like minded individual to join our team.

**About the setting**:
Three Bears Nursery and Preschool is a private setting rated Ofsted 'Good' in Far Headingley run by the owner and managing director Jean, she works alongside her daughter Laila, the nursery manager. We endeavour to be able to provide a homely and nurturing environment for each and every child, following their interests in our planning and providing an enabling environment both in and outdoors.

**Job Requirements and Skills**:

- Preferably at least one year of experience working in early years
- Preferably a level 3 or above qualification, or working towards a qualification in early years
- Familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- To be able to provide stimulating and open-ended activities for children that are age appropriate and meet the next steps of the children.
- Encourage the three characteristics of effective learning in the EYFS; 1) playing and exploring, 2) active learning and 3) creating and thinking critically
- Hands on and active with cleaning and risk assessment
- To be able to work in line with setting policies and procedures
- To attend and complete regular training and meetings as and when required for your job role
- Respect setting confidentiality
- Ensure a high standard of safeguarding at all times

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
**Experience**:

- Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
