Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and the nursery team.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that support the children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing information with parents as necessary.
  • Support the nursery management team in maintaining a high standard of care, cleanliness, and organisation within the nursery setting.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff members, promoting best practices in childcare.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection.

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 3 or above).
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations if required.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in childcare practices.
