We are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading not for profit organisation based in Cambridge as they seek to recruit a Payroll Officer to join their team. Working within the People Team but closely with Finance, you will report into theHead of People. This role is a newly created position and is flexible between part and full time hours dependent on the fit of the successful applicant. The role comes with hybrid working, with a need to be in the office at least once or twice a week.
As the incoming Payroll Officer, you will assist the team in transitioning from their current Payroll system to a new system. On top of this, you will be tasked with the following key duties, including:

- Processing company payroll at period end
- Reconciling payroll figures
- Calculating payroll adjustments as necessary
- Record and make payments to HMRC as applicable
- Additional ad hoc duties depending on experience
As the successful applicant, it is imperative that you have previous Payroll experience before, with ideally knowledge of the whole Payroll life cycle. Additional attributes you would ideally possess include:

- Strong attention to detail
- A level of maturity given the sensitivity of the information you would be dealing with
- Excellent communication and rapport building skills
- Approachable and trustworthy
- Good IT literacy skills
