**Role**

This is a new role and will be integral in delivering future growth by delivering insight to all aspects of the business. It will enable commercial data driven business decisions to be made for the now and the future. The business is data rich, but it needsharnessing and utilising. As an insight lead, you’ll use a suite of tools and technology to gather quantative and qualitative insights that will inform various transformation programmes, designed to maximise efficiency, increase sales, or reduce costs.

**Responsibilities**
- Objective and goal setting that is aligned with the organisational goals and the need for continuous improvement in data exploitation efficiencies
- Provide concise and actionable analysis and recommendations that will benefit the organisations future business
- Use data strategically, asking the right questions, using sophisticated ways to interrogate the data that will uncover high value insights, future strategies, and growth opportunities.
- Proactively suggest ways to visualise complex data sets, generating charts/tables that give insightful views of key business issues and opportunities
- Collaborate with different business units and BI teams across territories to ensure consistency of data analysis across the company. Work closely educating the team on methods of analysing this data and bring best practices to improve the quality of insightswe are delivering
- Accessing and leveraging key data and insight from our single data platform (SDP)
- Continually look to identify areas of improvement
- Development of high quality, clean and performant code that is built with operability built in by design

**Skills and experience**
- Significant delivery experience across key elements of the data analytics & data warehousing domains
- Experienced in working across different data sets, ranging from customer and stock data through to web analytics
- Strong participant and contributor to the creation, sharing and learning culture to provide insight and outcomes into the hands of our key decision makers.
- Statistical modelling / forecasting (AB Testing, DOE, Regression, etc.)
- Forecasting (ARIMA, ETS, etc.)
- Data Mining (Bayes, CART, Clustering, etc.)
- Databases (one or multiple): Synapse, Big Query, Redshift, SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, etc.
- Languages (one or multiple): SQL, SAS, Python, R, Java, Octave, etc.
- Visualisation (one or multiple): SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Qlik, Looker
- Strong desire to constantly deliver value to the business
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly
- Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a culture of collaboration, sharing and learning
