**NPD Kitchen Assistant**

**Monday to Friday**

**7am - 4pm**

Cranswick Country Foods Prepared Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked breaded chicken products for both Retail and Foodservice sustomers.We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers. Working closely with customers, our bespoke breaded chicken products offer creative and flavoursome lunchtime, snacking and evening meal solutions.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at this recently opened site in Hull for an NPD Assistant to join the busy NPD team at the Prepared Poultry site.

The purpose of this role is to support the Development Team in the smooth efficient running of the development kitchen, producing samples and ensuring compliance with health and safety and food safety standards.

This is a good opportunity for someone who is looking to take their first role within a busy and successful NPD team to join a brand new production site.

**The main duties of the role are;**
- To work with the NPD team as directed.
- To ensure best practice is adopted when working within the kitchen, ensuring that the work place is kept clean and safe always.
- To support the Senior NPD Technologist in the role of producing daily NPD samples. Working within tight time-scales to generate development samples for our important customers.
- To ensure that the correct recipes are followed, and any changes are recorded accurately.
- As a member of the development team, the role includes communicating with others on site, and with our suppliers and customers when required.
- To assist with customers, suppliers and internal meetings as required.
- Ensuring that raw materials are collected as appropriate to complete NPD projects and briefs.
- Any other responsibilities commensurate with the post.
- Any other reasonable requests made by the Directors.

**Skills, Abilities and Attitude**
- Must have high quality standards and be able to complete samples accurately under mínimal supervision.
- Methodical in approach, must be able to follow clear instructions and be capable of managing an ever changing daily workload.
- Excellent attention to detail, must be numerate.
- A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.20 per hour
