We are looking for committed School Cleaner in a rural school in the Morpeth/Ashington area with immediate start.
This is a small rural school, with lovely children and friendly staff - their school community is like a family They require someone to support them in keeping their wonderful environment safe and clean.
**Working hours**: 15 hours a week

Person Specification
Minimum Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum of 2 references
- Enhanced DBS clearance
Experience
- Understanding of health, hygiene and safety procedures
- Experience of working in a primary school
**Responsibilities**:
- Cleaning certain parts of the school site
- Vacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors
- Cleaning uncarpeted areas
- Emptying and cleaning bins
- Spot cleaning of spillages
- Cleaning desks, seats and skirting boards
- Cleaning toilet areas and replenishing toiletries
- Cleaning doors and windows
- Checking stock levels of cleaning materials
- Reporting all defects/hazards immediately to the caretaker or supervisor
Work Related Circumstances
- Ability to work flexibly
- Participate in training
- A commitment to ensuring a safe environment for children, a thorough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures
