Due to expansion, and excellent opportunity has arisen for a newly created **Assistant Accountant/ Finance Assistant**for a very successful and growing retail property company group in the heart of London.

My client leads the marketplace for short-term retail space, working with everyone from industry leading brands to exciting start-ups. Their mission is to create a world where anyone with an idea can find space to make it happen.

They have offices in London, Paris, New York, and other European Locations since their creation 10 years ago. They’ve been named one of Wired Magazine's '100 Hottest Start-Ups’ and The Financial Times’ most 'Disruptive Companies,’ and have become the go-todestination to make innovative and creative retail ideas happen.

The role reports into the Financial Controller, working in partnership with the Management Accountant, you will be required to provide accounting support within the Finance team, to ensure key financial close and day to day activities are completed in arobust and timely manner. The role will also act as a key supporting role with a full understanding of the transactional process and full understanding of the debits and credits process.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Day to day finance support to the Financial Controller and Management Accountant
- Assisting with Various Month end duties/ tasks up to Trial Balance
- Client Account Reconciliations.
- Bank account Reconciliations
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing supplier payments and staff expenses
- Supporting the team on a variety of projects and tasks
- Accounts Receivable invoice processing
- Credit Control processes, building relationships with clients
- Working with various stakeholders to support the development of understanding of key business processes
- Working to produce the monthly numbers with Senior Managers
- Providing the Financial Controller with concise and clear updates, ensuring all issues are escalated in a timely manner
- Work closely with the wider finance team and in-country teams to develop an understanding of key business drivers to assist in the development of financial controls
- Ensure consistent documentation of all key tasks and activities
- Maintain and improve standardisation of tasks and processes
- Develop strong cross-functional partnerships
- Assist with the preparation and review of site P&Ls to ensure accuracy in management reporting
- Work closely with and build partnerships with colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach and effective delivery of projects
- Other Adhoc projects

**Do I have what it takes?**
- AAT or (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) part qualified or working towards this
- Excellent Excel skills (V. Lookups & Pivot tables) is a minimum requirement
- Xero software experience is desirable
