In this role you will have responsibility for for the NHSBSA’s effective engagement with, and use of, ESR. You will be a NHSBSA champion for ESR, a passionate advocate and enthusiast for all things ESR related

You’ll work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner team and liaise with the ESR Transformation Programme to ensure the NHSBSA’s ESR landscape is fit for a timely migration to the new workforce solution.

This role will be responsible for both the current usage of ESR within the organisation and leading work to ensure we increase our usage, optimising all the functionality ESR has to offer. This will put us in the best possible position for the implementation of the new workforce solution.

You will drive data integrity across the organisation, analysing data and looking for areas of improvement whether through changes to back-end data processes or front-end user engagement.

You will work to ensure that the end user has the best possible experience when using ESR, maximising, for example, portals, dashboards, reporting and self-service functionality.

You will work with key stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring everyone enjoys a joined-up view of the current doing, and future thinking, about the use of ESR.

You will lead the implementation of ESR related projects within the NHSBSA, ensuring they are managed and implemented in a timely manner. This will include leading work to ensure ESR is the primary source of accurate and up to date workforce structures, headcount and vacant positions.

**In this role, you are accountable for**:
Operational Delivery / Improvement
- Work with the HR Business Partner team and other stakeholders and use existing mechanisms (e.g. the Annual ESR Assessment) to identify improvement priorities which will in turn improve the transactional ESR process landscape; drive improvements in user engagement, data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Lead work to ensure ESR is the primary source of accurate and up to date workforce structures, headcount and vacant positions. Lead activity to ensure that an accurate organisational hierarchy within ESR is maintained.
- Lead work which supports the organisation in optimising current functionality, and future planned functional upgrades. Using expert knowledge and links with ESR teams to help identify improvements to the end user experience e.g. development of user portals, reporting and self service functionality.
- Keep abreast of central ESR news and developments, including user notices, alerts and error logs by reviewing, disseminating and sharing as appropriate.
- Responsible for raising, monitoring, communicating and management of Service Requests, including any associated costs.

Engagement and Education
- Act as a champion for ESR within the NHSBSA, promoting its effective use and development; you will be a passionate advocate for the benefits of self-service functionality, data quality and end user engagement.
- Provide specialist knowledge to internal teams on the ESR system, infrastructure, processes and data. You will bring energy and credibility to internal discussions on our effective use of ESR.
