**Role**: Finance Assistant
**Location**: County Durham
**Salary**:£25,000 - £30,000
**_Key Tasks/Responsibilities of the role are:_**
- Bank/Factoring account reconciliations, managing petty cash, general admin
- Processing supplier payment runs
- Monitoring cash netting account and calculating interests for posting accruals
- Preparing Treasury cash position report, forecast and budgets as required
- Processing employees travel expenses across UK entities
- Adhering to a daily, weekly and monthly timetable to ensure key objectives are completed within set deadlines
- Processing of incoming/outgoing payments
- Conducting month & year-end reconciliations
- Compliance with data protection and archiving documentation
- Manage and update Treasury KPIs.
**_Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications necessary:_**
- Previous experience working in a busy finance function
- Excellent reconciliations experience
- Qualified, or willing to work towards, AAT level 3 Accounting
- Good working knowledge and experience of SAP Finance preferred
- A good level of computer skills, including a competent level of Excel skill, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Able to work at speed, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
**_Competencies, Behaviours & Attributes:_**
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, both internally and externally
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Willing to learn, be trained and progress
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm shown towards the role and the department
- A flexible approach to working hours (overtime will be required periodically).

Core hours are from 9am-3pm, however you can start work between 6:30am and 9am and finish work between 3pm and 6pm Monday to Thursday, and you can finish at 1pm on Fridays. You are able to determine the hours that best suit your circumstances, so long asyou fulfil 38 hours per week.
