**The position of Warehouse Operative involves**:

- Manually loading and unloading caged and palletised goods from lorries.
- Using the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all caged goods with care and attention, working in a temperature chilled environment.
- Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required and assembling cages for orders to be safely stacked in racking.
- Assisting when required within the warehouse to include wrapping and labelling of pallets.
- General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment.
- Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.

**Essential skills required for Warehouse Operative**:

- Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
- Experience with computerised warehouse management systems, Manhattan scale is advantageous.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
