Senior Accountant

Butler Rose is delighted to be exclusively working with a leading manufacturing organisation in Exeter to recruit a Senior Accountant on a permanent basis.
The business has a clearly defined career plan and as such this role has scope to progress. They offer a supporting environment, whilst also allowing you to take accountability for your role.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, key duties will include:
- Management accounting and reporting
- Monitoring and reporting of regular KPIs to senior leaders
- Support month-end close activities
- Statutory accounts preparation, VAT compliance and bookkeeping for semi-active / non-trading entities
- Maintenance of general ledger and monthly reconciliations
- Co-ordination of audit and tax compliance
- Business partnering with operations team and other members of leadership team on a regular basis
- Review internal controls and suggest / make improvements as required
- Other ad hoc duties as required
