The Role As a Senior or Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting your clients with a full range of accounting, compliance, and advisory services. You'll manage client relationships, oversee junior team members, and ensure all work is delivered accurately and on time. Your responsibilities as a Senior or Semi-Senior Accountant will include: Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts, VAT returns, tax returns, and bookkeeping for a range of clients. Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations. Acting as a trusted adviser, handling client queries and providing guidance on accounting and business matters. Assisting clients with accounting software including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks. Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior accountants and trainees. Maintaining high standards of quality control and compliance across all deliverables. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client service and internal processes. To be considered for this Senior / Semi-Senior Accountant position, you should have/be: Qualified or part-qualified: AAT, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent). Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax legislation. Proficient in accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks); experience with CCH is a plus. Confident in client communication, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
