The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader to work full time with a local provider who provides Supported Living Services to people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and complex health needs. The provider benefits from a great reputation; locally and with CQC.
About the role
You will be working closely with the Management team as a Team Leader, based locally, which supports service users, with Learning disabilities and Mental Health.
The duties of the Team Leader will include:
- Leading and running the service on a day to day basis
- Providing effective supervision to a small team of Support Workers
- Creating and managing an effective and fair rota to ensure all shifts are covered and any short-term changes are managed promptly
- Ensuring all new starters are inducted effectively and supported through probation
- Provide effective communication with the team with regular team and service user meetings
- To liaise professionally with family members and other professionals as required
- To create, review and update service users care plans and risk assessments
- Safeguarding service users’ rights and dignity
- Organise activities that are suitable for the individual service users
- Leading your team and working with the service users to consistently provide day to day assistance in all aspects of the service users life, in order to enable them to live healthy and fulfilling lives filled with meaningful and rewarding activities
About you
- You will have a suitable Care qualification - ideally NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- You will have at least 2 years’ experience at this level or similar
- You will have previous experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities
- You will have a Full UK driving Licence and use of a car
- You will have the right to work in the UK
- You will be a people person who can forge positive relationships quickly and maintain this over a long time

**Experience**:
- providing care: 1 year (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving License (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
