We are recruiting on behalf of our Sandwell based client for X3 Mobile Contact Tracer. The jobholder is responsible for supporting the organisation’s COVID-19 response by making contact with people who have tested positive for COVID-19, and close contactsof these individuals, that the national NHS Test & Trace team has been unable to reach.

This role is a fulltime, Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700 hours, 37 hours per week, on a 3-month temporary ongoing contract.

The rate of pay rate for this role is £10.00 per hour.

**Main Duties**:

- Travelling the six towns of Sandwell (or designated town) to visit the public in their homes and carry out the contact tracing process/deliver compliance letters as appropriate, following COVID-19 safety protocols - supporting the static Contact Tracingteam from home/office location when required
- Undertake initial interview of COVID-19 cases, undertake a public health risk assessment, identify contacts and provide public health advice (where appropriate) working to local protocols and national guidance
- Assess and escalate situations as appropriate.
- To promote social distancing and encourage public compliance with COVID-19 public health measures
- To liaise with the public, contact tracing team and team leaders to maintain effective working relationships.
- To make relevant changes to CTAS records on a timely basis and reporting back to Team Leader to inform of cases completed.
- To ensure that standards of dress, behaviour and performance are maintained in accordance with the requirements of the Public Health Contact Tracing Team standard operating procedures. To educate and explain COVID-19 Secure guidelines in the public realmand where required to patrol the six towns of Sandwell supporting businesses and the general public to increase the understanding of COVID-19 public health measures.
- Use of new technology as required to undertake the role and record evidence / data gathered.
- To carry out your duties in line with the organisation's policy on equality and be sensitive and caring to the needs of the disadvantaged, promoting a positive approach to a harmonious working environment.
- You should act as an exemplar on these issues and should identify and monitor training for yourself and any employees for whom you are responsible, in line with this policy, the Equality Standard and obligations under the Race Relations (Amendment) Act2000.
- To carry out responsibilities with due regard to the organisation's policy and arrangements for Health and Safety at Work.

**Essential Requirements**:

- The individual will be highly motivated and organised and have at least 12-month experience of working within a similar role.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Ability to work in a busy and challenging environment.
- Highly organised and understand the importance of attention to detail

A DBS check will be required for this post.
