**About The Role**

We are looking for a Senior Buying Manager to successfully lead the commercial development of our livestock trading team to enhance company sales and margin targets by planning, developing, sourcing and negotiating competitively priced products.

Reporting into the Head of Livestock & External Sales, you will work alongside a wider team sourcing approximately £500m worth of stock every year including 180,000 cattle, 1.5 million pigs and 650,000 lambs as well as dealing with over 2,500 suppliers.We are looking for an individual who is considered an expert in the livestock industry, demonstrating a passion for quality, provenance and the future of the industry. You will also have a deep understanding of breeding cycles and welfare requirements to raiselivestock.

**About You**

You will bring a strong buying background with knowledge of the livestock industry, as well as strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. In addition to a track record of negotiating with suppliers and an understanding of supplychains. You will use your expertise to enable your team and wider stakeholders to contribute to the success of the department.
