The Headteacher is responsible for providing an excellent education for all pupils and will work closely with their senior team to maintain outstanding teaching and learning and to develop an exceptional school culture. To be responsible for the internalorganisation, management and control of the school. In carrying out duties, a Headteacher shall consult, where this is appropriate, with the Authority, the Governing Body, the staff of the school and the parents of its pupils.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leadership of the school and its staff to achieve extremely high standards of teaching and learning, behaviour and attainment.
- Implementation and co-ordination of the vision, ethos and strategy for the school
- Leadership of effective external relationships, including the local community and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team providing regular reports and updates with regards to performance, staffing, finance, outcomes and strategic direction.
- Curriculum - Determining, organising and implementing an appropriate curriculum for the school, having regard to the needs, experience, interests, aptitudes and stage of development of the pupils and the resources available to the school.

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- QTS or QTLS with degree level education or equivalent
- Proven recent senior leadership experience in a relevant sector to this school
- Provide excellent and inspirational teaching relevant to sector
- Relevant experience of working with children with a wide range of special needs
- Experience and understanding of managing people, budgets and IT in relation to its effective use in the curriculum
