**Location**: Hybrid working - Home working alongside various locality bases in and around the Redditch District.
**Pay scale**:£28,000 per annum (pro-rata)
**Hours**: 24hrs per week

**Overview**:
This role will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a communications plan for engaging the community and workforce associated with Redditch District Collaborative and the programme of work associated to Being Well in Redditch. This will include working with partners across Redditch to develop a consistent approach to communicating information about wellbeing to the public, and ensuring frontline staff are aware of what we are collectively trying to achieve. The post holder will need to work successfully with multiple stakeholders to agree and implement a consistent approach to communicating about wellbeing support across Redditch.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Use specialist knowledge in communications, marketing, and PR to develop and deliver a communications and social marketing plan to support implementation of the evolving Redditch District
- Collaborative Programme of work. This includes utilising behavioural insight methodologies to affect behaviour change.
- Be an integral member of the Redditch District Collaborative Programme Team to support and help colleagues to better understand the opportunities social media presents and the ways it can be used to support delivery of the Redditch District Collaborative Programme of work.
- Act in a specialist advisory role for the Redditch District Collaborative Programme Team, advising on effective communications approaches to achieve the programme objectives.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, gaining consensus over appropriate social media, digital and ‘in-person’ approaches and managing the production, design, publication, and distribution of print and online content in accordance with organisational brand guidelines.
- Ensure that consistent information about the local wellbeing offer and priorities, including how to access support is in place across each Redditch District Collaborative organisation’s public facing materials and websites.
- Manage the evaluation of communications activity to make recommendations for improvements and inform senior decision-makers, communication and building relationships.
- Understand and draw together multiple strands and stakeholders within a highly complex programme to develop a communications and social marketing plan.
- Effectively communicate a clear vision for the complex Redditch District Collaborative Programme of work, developing appropriate communication methods and overcoming barriers to understanding amongst a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the public.
- Use social insight and specialist knowledge to develop a communications plan for engaging the community and workforce in changing the conversation about wellbeing and health and care services.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders internally and externally to help them better understand the range of available communications approaches and the ways in which they can be used to promote the team’s vision and priorities and lead to better engagement with service users and wider stakeholders.
- Use developed negotiation and persuasion skills to promote co-operation and consensus between stakeholders on a consistent approach to communications across Redditch, managing potentially conflicting perspectives between diverse stakeholders.
- Develop a range of approaches to engaging the community and communicating information about wellbeing support in the locality, including drafting press releases and features, liaising with journalists to promote features and news ideas where appropriate.
- Promote and use social media to foster engagement with the programme.
- Develop and maintain links with wider public service and third sector communications teams as well as developing close working relationships with media contacts, key partners, stakeholders, promoters, and external PR consultants.
- Be politically aware, operating within a complex partnership environment and changing strategic situations, handling sensitive information regarding service changes that may affect staff and members of the public appropriately.
**Planning and organisational skills**:
- Responsible for developing and implementing project plans in line with the strategic direction and making recommendations for changes which may improve programme outcomes.
