Taunton, United Kingdom Somerset NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you a looking to start or progress your career within a friendly and highly supportive Dietetic team?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian to join our acute adult team at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, which is part of the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. You would be working in a rotational post, alongside other Band 5 Dietitians, supported in each rotation by specialist Dietitians and other staff from our wider team including Nutrition Nurse Specialists.

Somerset Dietitians provide a wide range of specialist dietetic services in both the acute and community and you will have an opportunity to spend time with the specialist teams as part of your CPD.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad clinical experience which will provide you with an excellent base from which to develop your future professional career.

Whether you are a Band 5 with some experience or a newly qualified dietitian ready to step up, we want to hear from you.

As a member of the acute adult team you will provide a high quality dietetic service to adult wards, other clinical areas and in selected outpatient clinics.

In each rotation, you will work with the specialist Dietitians to progress the service, such as providing staff training, undertaking audits or service improvement projects.

We take student Dietitians from the University of Plymouth for their placements and, once you have sufficient experience, you will contribute to their training.

As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, career progression and regular conversations, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.

The benefits of working in Somerset include the idyllic countryside, with our areas of outstanding beauty and stunning coastlines. You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone's throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London.

There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable. You will experience the best of both in Somerset, the countryside and the cosmopolitan - there is truly something for everyone
