We are looking for a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and talented team at City Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

Contract: Fixed term until 31/08/2025

**Salary**: CLF Grade B (£25,136 - £27,398)

Term time only - actual starting salary: £20,360

Hours: 35 hours per week

Start date: ASAP

Closing date: 12th February

Interview date: TBC - W/C 24th February

What we are looking for:
To be successful in the post, City Academy are looking for a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues. Support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. Takes responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/ teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. Deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being. Works collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Teaching Training 

The CLF SCITT provides school-centred initial teacher training for graduates who want to become a primary or secondary school teacher. Safeguarding and pre-employment checks: 

The Cabot Learning Federation are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role has significant responsibility for ensuring safeguarding practice within the academy. This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.

Pay: £25,136.00-£27,398.00 per year
