We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in overseeing construction site activities and supporting the Project/Construction Manager in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- **Project Assistance**: Support the project management team in planning and executing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- **Documentation**:Help prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
- **Site Coordination**: Assist in coordinating on-site activities and liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- **Tracking Progress**:Monitor and track project milestones, identifying potential delays and assisting with issue resolution.
- **Quality Control**:Help ensure that construction work complies with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- **Cost Management**:Assist in reviewing and managing budgets, contracts, and invoices.
- **Health and Safety**:Support site safety practices and participate in safety meetings.
- **Reporting**:Assist in preparing reports for senior management, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Recently completed a degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Be willing to travel to Oxford or areas near London.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Basic knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project management software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
