You will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of our young people (shift pattern & sleeping nights).

You will assist the young people in the creating and maintaining of a positive and nurturing environment for young people and meet their emotional, physical and psychological needs. Positively promoting the principles of an ordinary life. You will be a positive role model for the young people and encourage them to develop meaningful healthy relationships and attachments. You will also endeavour to empower them to make choices about their life.

As a holstic support worker you will ensure that delegated responsibilities and the day to day operation of the organsation are carried out in accordance with Ladders 2 Life policies and procedures and instructions, and within quality assurance requirements; clear and consistent structures are in place to create safety for children and young people, work alongside their team of professionals to enable effective integration of support.

Essential Skills
- Experience of working in a range of settings with vulnerable young people.
- Demonstrable commitment to recognising and valuing young people’s achievement in a range of learning styles.
- Evidence of recent commitment to personal professional development.
- Experience of working on your own initiative and within a team.
- Understanding and promotion of equal opportunities in both staff and client work.
- A “can-do” and willing approach.
- Applicant requires to take part in an Enhanced Criminal Record check/DBS.
- Driving Licence and access to own transport.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service user empowerment and reintegration.
- Flexibility, creativity, initiative and self-motivation.
- Proven co-operation and communication skills.
- Excellent level of IT literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and case management databases.
- Level Three Health and Social care qualification or willing to work towards
- GCSE’s Grade C or above in English & Maths.
- A flexible approach to working hours in line with the potentially unpredictable nature of housing management.

Other Requirements:

As we provide support for vulnerable young people this will include working regular shifts inclusive of evenings, nights and occasional weekends.

**Salary**: £11.44-£15.00per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 40 per week
