**Head of Technology**

You will be required to work collaboratively with the Board, ensuring that the technology strategy and roadmap support the overall business strategy.

We provide our advice and service through Attivo Financial Planning, one of the very few genuinely Independent, Chartered, Occupational Pension Specialist, financial planning firms in the UK. We aim to deliver the most professional, technically competent, independent advice and service to our clients. We want to be seen as a leader in the financial planning sector, to help change the standing of financial planning to be recognised as a genuine profession and to ensure we, and the profession, contribute positively to society and the economy.

**Main responsibilities**
- Innovate and drive technology changes in the business to improve the client experience and deliver operational efficiencies.
- Enhance the virtualised technology infrastructure and support the integration of acquisitions.
- Implement robust security measures to protect the business and its clients for cyber threats and risks.
- Build and manage relationships with key IT (Information Technology) and software partners, maintaining an effective ecosystem, to complement the internal resources, to support Attivo Group’s needs.
- Develop appropriate information systems to meet the needs of staff and their managers.
- Project manage all IT and IS (Information Systems) related changes and developments effectively, to agreed timescales and budget.
- As the technology lead in the business, deliver the strategy for the digitisation of the advice journey, delivering a streamlined client journey and operational efficiency for the business.
- Keep abreast of broad technology trends and work with the Board to build a technology roadmap to support the strategy of the business.
- Direct and manage the IT and IS teams to ensure they are properly motivated and trained and meet the required standards in order to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
- Establish and maintain all necessary policies, procedures and ensure all systems are supported by the necessary documentation, manuals and records.
- Proactively manage the infrastructure to ensure issues are identified and resolved quickly to minimise outage or operational issues for the business.
- Provide advice and support to managers and staff on IT and IS related issues.
- Undertake due diligence on acquisitions as required and work with them to integrate and decommission IT and systems, where appropriate. This will also include travelling to Attivo Group offices nationally.
- Manage relationships with third party suppliers, including managing performance.
- Feed into and manage budget for IT and IS function, to include the provision of hardware and software for staff.
- Manage business IT assets and the provision of high quality hardware for staff on a timely basis.
- Manage tickets to ensure high quality and timely response from IT and IS staff.

**Qualifications, skills and experience**
- Experience of technology leadership
- Line management
- Microsoft Azure Administration
- Networking competence, such as CCNA
- Microsoft server competence
- Windows 10 Administration
- Network Security (firewalls)
- Ability to maintain excellent working relationships within a professional team, and ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and numerical skills
- Highly analytical and logical, with high attention to detail
- Ability to train groups and provide training on an individual basis
- Ability to work autonomously to performance objectives
- Strong communicator
- Finance and budgets

**Salary and benefits**

Up to £75,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance.
