Liverpool University Hospitals are recruiting for a Senior Recruitment Officer to lead and supervise a division within a care group pod. You will hold a caseload of vacancies, and will support in the management of events, allocation of workload as well as offer first line advice and support to recruitment officers and recruiting managers. Agile working applies upon completion of local induction and successfully completing a tailored training plan. There will be a requirement to support events on a rota basis, which may include occasional weekend and evenings.

- Support in the recruitment of designated divisional/team workload.
- Support Recruitment Officers within your POD offering support and supervision.
- Assist in the coordination of recruitment, maintaining the quality and integrity of the recruitment process whilst ensuring KPI’s are met.

To prioritise and allocate work for the recruitment team on all day to day aspects.
- Proactively be mindful of the Recruitment Department’s workload and ensure work is delegated evenly between the Recruitment Officers.
- Review daily tasks and prioritise the tasks of the team ensuring delivery of service to meet KPI's and other deadlines taking into account staff absence/staffing level
- To keep up to date with new policy and procedures including all safer employment checks. Produce training documentation and ensure all recruitment staff adheres to the new policy or procedure.
- To develop working relationships with colleagues and customers that are productive in terms of supporting and delivering your work and which contribute to the delivery of a professional customer focused service.
- Be flexible in approach to work to undertake any other duties commensurate with the Band across all teams within HR and provide cover of absent colleagues when required.
- Complete team training plans in conjunction with the Recruitment Manager and Deputy Recruitment Manager.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

Proactively be mindful of the Recruitment Department’s workload and ensure work is delegated evenly between the Recruitment Officers.

Effectively organise and prioritise individual recruitment caseload, and monitor the workloads of Recruitment Officers ensuring that the required standards of performance are met highlighting any potential issues to the Recruitment Operations Lead.

Review daily tasks and prioritise the tasks of the team ensuring delivery of service to meet SLA’s and other deadlines taking into account staff absence/staffing levels.

Monitor and maintain recruitment dashboards and any other inbound workload such as shared inboxes and SharePoint.

Highlight to the Recruitment Operations Lead any training needs within the Recruitment Department, to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and employment legislation.

Proactively deal with queries using initiative to provide advice to customers offering flexibility to meet customer needs whilst operating within the parameters of agreed Recruitment processes.

Provide first line advice to the team dealing with issues and problems to find resolutions. Act as the first point of contact for recruitment services and in doing so, deal helpfully, effectively and efficiently with queries providing relevant information to customers in a timely manner. Provide additional support to Officers, where required, in dealing with queries, escalating more complex queries to the Recruitment Operations Lead.

To ensure all new starters are booked onto the Trust’s Corporate Induction Programme. To monitor booking levels and liaise with the Induction administrators to resolve any issues as appropriate.
