As a membership organisation, the BDAs duty is to serve the needs of its members.

As a trade union, our fundamental belief is that together, we can achieve more than we could individually.

We believe that members are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are stronger. As an organisation, we will be inclusive; support our members throughout their professional lives; use our influence for the benefit of members, the dental profession and patients; and share our collective knowledge and expertise.

Youll be a team player who is dedicated to supporting the work of colleagues, while also having the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Youll understand what the role and purpose of trade unions and professional associations is, and you may have an interest in the health policy that the committees you support have a key role in forming.

You will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and value working in a professional and supportive environment where colleagues treat each other with respect.

**About the team**

You will be joining a team of policy and research professionals who are motivated by making a difference for the BDAs members and the patients they care for. We pride ourselves on our extensive collective knowledge of dentistry and the high-quality secretarial support we provide to our policy making committees. We strive to improve the working lives of dentists and support efforts to improve the oral health of the nation.
