Weighbridge Operator

**Position Summary**

**Duties**
- Assist the Transport department with the planning of inbound and outbound deliveries and collections whilst ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered at all times.
- Act as the main point of contact for transport and yard operations during operating hours
- Reporting regularly to the Duty Operations Manager on inbound and outbound activity
- Working extensively with our traffic management IT system and processing all appropriate documentation
- Recording weights and waste types from each vehicle entering the weighbridge
- Provide multi-functional support to the Transport department in accordance with business requirements
- Answering telephone enquiries to company standards and ensuring calls are delegated to the appropriate person
- Liaise with site staff on incoming and outgoing loads to ensure accurate recording of materials
- Dealing with customer queries
- Taking necessary payments when required
- A wide range of administrative duties including filing and cash handling

**Requirements of the role**
- Knowledge and understanding of Transport systems is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Must be flexible regarding shift patterns and holiday cover
- Experience in fast-paced weighbridge operations is desirable
- Must be a self-motivated and highly organised
- Ability to work in a small team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to deliver excellent customer service when dealing with WRC customers
