WEC Group, established for over 45 years and one of the North West’s leading & multi award winningengineering, fabrication and machining companies, requires an experienced **Payroll Assistant** for their Head Office Finance Division.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated **Payroll Administrator/Assistant,** who wishes to progress within a successful, dynamic and rapidly expanding business.

**Responsibilities**
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for 600 employees across multiple divisions.
- RTI Submissions and year-end processing.
- Building and maintaining effective internal relationships and working alongside HR.
- Pension administration and contribution submissions.
- Nominal link & journal processing.
- Resolving payroll queries and ad-hoc reporting to various stakeholders.

**Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
- Previous Payroll processing experience (Sage preferred).
- Previous experience of a Time Management System is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic Excel skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced, changeable environment.
- Sound understanding of controls and authorisation procedures.
- The flexibility to be self-motivated and also able to work well in a small team.
- A strong personality with the ability to contribute to process improvement activities.

**Working Location/Environment**

Darwen, Lancashire

**Hours of work**

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm (37.5 hours per week)

**Salary**

Up to £26,000 (Depending on Experience)
