Summary
We currently have the opportunity for five Case Support Officers to join our Afghan Resettlement Project across Wiltshire on a **Wiltshire Temporary Bank**, fixed-term contract for **12 weeks initially**, with the potential for this to be extended if the need arises.

Caseworkers will assist in delivering a project focusing on working with Wiltshire Council services and the Afghan refugees they are supporting in resettling in Wiltshire. Specifically, this project will focus on supporting refugees resettled by Wiltshire Council under the Bridging Hotel project in Swindon, Wiltshire.
**About the role**
The Refugee Resettlement and Migration Service is a service designed to support a range of relocation programmes, including UKRS.
Wiltshire is committed to excellent partnership working and delivering results for customers; supporting the delivery of this work therefore means evidence of strong team working skills and flexibility is essential.
The role of the caseworker is to act as the first point of contact for those relocated to Wiltshire under specific relocation programmes, providing them with assistance and support to ensure that their issues are resolved and to assist in their transition into UK life. There will be a varied caseload and ensuring families and individuals can access public services and are supported towards independence and integration will be a priority.
Length of time and scope of support for families and individuals is based upon which relocation scheme they are relocated under.
**About You**
As a Casework Support Officer, you will have a good understanding of a range of public sector services and the experience of new arrivals in the UK.
We will look to you to have knowledge and respect for different cultures. You should also have experience of working to specific policies and procedures.
Working with families and individuals, you will support them in accessing public services and develop appropriate support plans that meet their needs and support their integration into the British way of life.
An understanding of the various resettlement schemes would be beneficial. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
