Worcester, United Kingdom Fresh Start in Education Full time

**Nobody understands me and everyone says I'm naughty. How are you any different?**

The young people we support are often labelled as naughty, defiant or challenging. Many have seen their behaviour and not understood why it's happening. Without the time or resources to adequately support them, they're often excluded from school and left to slip through the net.

Having spent considerable time out of school, these young people are way behind their peers and their barriers to education multiply. The challenges posed by their SEN and SEMH needs are compounded by an unwillingness to attend school and they'll never achieve their potential.

That's where **YOU** come in.

With your knowledge, skill and expertise you understand the needs and communication underpinning the behaviour. By bringing your creative and resourceful approach to planning education you'll be able to work with these children on a 1:1 basis and give them a fresh start.

**The role**
- Our tutors are matched to young people based on experience, location and availability
- You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons on a 1:1 basis for 2 to 5 days per week
- Each placement typically lasts 6 to 12 weeks but can be longer
- You'll work with primary or secondary aged young people who have SEN or SEMH needs
- Sessions take place in relaxed environments such as libraries

**The benefits of working with us**
- Competitive hourly rates with additional planning & reporting pay
- Daily allowance for buying resources
- Subsidised travel expenses
- Progression & training opportunities

**The experience you'll need**
- At least 2 years' experience of working in the education sector
- Experience of supporting young people with SEN (particularly ASD( and SEMH needs
- Experience of engaging young people with challenging behaviour

If you're looking for further information, call Alex on **0203 409 6410 (option 7).**
- Due to the nature of the work and our commitment to safer recruitment, you will undergo a thorough background check and will require an enhanced DBS and the Right to Work and remain in the UK. You're required to fully disclose spent, unspent and protected convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings._
