**The role of a Clinical Lead involves**:
- Carry responsibility for the clinical management of daily care activities.
- Lead, coach and develop the care team.
- Promote and maintain high standards of care.
- Ensure that care staff have a comprehensive induction.
- Carry out clinical supervision, mentor, coach, train and assess care staff, including those who are clinical.
- Uphold the standards always required by NMC and lead by example.
- Plan, direct and deliver high-quality person-centred care.
- Undertake staff reviews, supervisions, and appraisals.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines.
- Assessing and managing risk.
- Oversee all aspects of medicine management.
- Conduct audits to monitor standards of care and take corrective action where appropriate.
- Ensure communication with Residents, families and external parties is clear, honest and compassionate.
- Current NMC registration
- Nursing/RGN qualification
- Demonstrable managerial and leadership experience
- A minimum of five years’ experience working as a Nurse in a care home environment, specifically elderly care
- Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, along with best practice guidelines
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Understanding of Duty of Candour, DoLs, MCA, safeguarding and CQC notifications.
- Willingness to travel to other care homes in the locality if required
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: £21.00 per hour
