**Salary**:Band 7/ £22,000 to £27,000 depending on experience

**THE ROLE**

We have an opening within our Data Management Office for an individual experienced in data management and governance. If you have an interest in data or involved in implementing policy, standards or manage risk and controls, you may be suitable to join usin this exciting position as Data Governance Officer.

British Business Bank have established a new data management capability to improve the maturity and governance of data, whilst maximising the opportunity of our data centric operating model.
As Data Governance Officer within the Data Management Office, you will support the Data Governance Director and Risk & Controls Manager in monitoring compliance of the Data Management Policy and Standards. As a partner with Product Teams and Central Functionsyou will support Data Stewards in shaping the way data is managed within their own technically and operationally diverse business area. A talent for communicating complex issues in a simple way would be a distinct advantage.

You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and awareness of a full range of financial products offered through a network of delivery partners each of which support our business objectives to make finance markets work better for smaller businesses.Essentially, you will understand how data is ingested, improved, and potentially impacted by changes to processes or system changes. You will also be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of the data management office and the wider business which willmake use of your analytical approach and data skills.
Experience of working in a similar data governance or data quality role within financial services, using data management tools such as Solidatus or Aperture for data quality would be beneficial.
