BAM Construction is recruiting a Supply Chain Coordinator - Northern

**Your mission**

The role is based in our Leeds office, one of 3 offices covering our Construction Northern Region. The Supply Chain Coordinator supports delivery of the Royal BAM Group UK & Ireland Supply Chain Management and Procurement Strategy - to create value, lower risks and drive higher margins through proactive supply chain management, collaboration and knowledge sharing. Through this we can create trust and sustainable relationships with our stakeholders and vendors.

You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Group strategy and regional delivery plan. You will provide direct support to the regional Procurement team, and other internal functions, with supply chain related activities, such as; engagement, communication, performance, business initiatives and targets. Alongside general procurement responsibilities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- To be efficient in this role, you will need to/have:

- Effective communications skills, with a collaborative attitude
- Proven experience in a similar supply chain or procurement role, ideally within construction.
- Understand and promote Company Procurement Procedures
- Provide high quality customer service with internal and external customers

Your role will include but will not be exclusive to:

- Support the procurement tender process, including vendor engagement & onboarding
- Monitor and maintain supply chain financial health reports and key trade workload trackers
- Coordinate and share supply chain KPIs effectively
- Maintain up to date regional project pipeline reports
- Support the Buyer with direct and indirect material procurement, order processing and compliance
- Coordinate and support effective management of our category 1 supply chain partners

**Who are we looking for?**
- Necessary:

- Organised, self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of operating IT systems i.e. Microsoft 365
- Proven experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records
- GCSE’s or equivalent in Maths and English

Advantageous:

- Experience of procurement specific operating systems, e.g. SAP, Jaggaer, Constructionline
- Previous experience working in a construction, civils or engineering business
- You have a good knowledge and experience of the supply chain both material and subcontract.
