**Graphic Designer**

£26,000 per annum, 40hrs per week, Monday -Friday

We are the charity which runs Banham Zoological Gardens in Norfolk and Africa Alive Zoological Reserve in Suffolk.

We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for a creative & ambitious Graphic Designer to join our dynamic Marketing team based at Banham Zoo.

The key purpose of the **Graphic Designer** is to support the creative needs of our marketing team. This includes working on a variety of projects, including digital content, campaign-specific branding, signage, brochures, posters, and other materials to promote the zoo and its programs.

This individual will work with the Head of Marketing to develop overarching themes and concepts yearly to maintain a fresh and current image for the zoo. They will then create campaign-specific artwork to support marketing campaigns and initiatives to ensure that all designs meet brand guidelines and are consistent with the zoo's overall image.

Your normal working hours will be Monday to Friday, however, you may be required some weekends during the peak seasons to support marketing activity at those times.

Because our products can encompass a multitude of departments, you will need to collaborate with a number of departments and manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.

Daily duties include; Working with the marketing team to understand design requirements and project goals. Creating print and digital artwork to support marketing campaigns and initiatives. Preparing files for final production and working with printers and vendors as necessary. Updating the website with seasonal/point-of-sale artwork when required. Maintaining the visual presentation of web pages and related content. Receiving briefs from the Head of Marketing for the creation of visual assets to ensure we meet our goals. You will accurately record all design expenditures ensuring sign-off from the Head of Marketing.

The post holder will be expected to be confident in elevating key issues to their line manager or duty manager on the day accordingly and given the nature of events be able to juggle a busy workload.

**You will have**
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience within a commercially focused graphic design team
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Excellent typography and layout skills
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- Able to challenge ideas respectably
- Demonstrate a consistent, collaborative, and respectful approach to management and building relationships with other teams
- Respect confidentiality
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to help others to resolve them
- Stays calm in difficult situations
- Able to stay focused on tasks in hand
