**Overall purpose of the role**:
Responsible for the end-to-end management of the charity’s gambling portfolio which generates over half of the charity’s annual revenue. Develop and manage all FONWAA (Friends of North West Air Ambulance) gambling products, which includes the Weekly Lottery and Prize Draws ensuring these achieve target levels of recruitment, retention and engagement. Responsible for all gambling product development and marketing, looking into new and innovative ways to grow our gambling portfolio based on data and audience insights. Stand as a Qualified Person on FONWAA licences held with the Gambling Commission.
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Create and implement strategic plans to maximise income generation through NWAA gaming products including the weekly lottery and prize draws.
- Stand as a Qualified Person on FONWAA licences and manage the internal lottery compliance programme to ensure systems of internal control are satisfactory across the range of governance, risk management, fraud detection and other areas.
- Be responsible for budgeting and annual forecasting of the charity’s gambling products and manage these effectively throughout the year, providing regular updates on forecasted income and expenditure.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the charity’s gambling portfolio by working collaboratively with the newly appointed ELM and other third-party suppliers to ensure timeframes and targets are met.
- To keep up to date with emerging legislation/regulations, introducing controls where appropriate
- Develop and manage acquisition and retention metrics to inform product performance versus agreed KPIs
- Maximise retention by designing and implementing an effective supporter journey, championing excellent stewardship of donors.
- By working closely with the other sections/divisions within income generation to effectively cross promote the full range of support activities that can be undertaken by lottery players, including other fundraising products such as the charity’s community, events and corporate fundraising programmes, in-memoriam products, donations (regular and one-off), gifts in wills, retail opportunities and volunteering.
- Work collaboratively with the in-house marketing and comms team, and external PR agency, to ensure that PR opportunities associated with the Lottery are incorporated within the charity’s communications schedule and that appropriately branded marketing material is sourced.
- Manage and develop existing relationships and work effectively with relevant third-party suppliers associated with FONWAA gaming products.
- Frequently review third-party supplier performance, ensure that costs are kept to a minimum where possible and explore and be responsible for onboarding new suppliers when required.
- Continuously improve product performance by capturing and analysing appropriate data to optimise the effectiveness of marketing and fundraising initiatives, staying abreast of industry best practice, insights and emerging trends and taking proactive steps to quickly and effectively utilise findings to benefit the charity.
- Work closely with the CRM Manager and Supporter Engagement Team Leader to identify and implement improvements to working practices to drive efficiencies and improve supporter experience.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with supporters, donors, volunteers and team members, handling any complaints promptly and in a professional manner. Effectively promote the full range of activities that can be undertaken by lottery members; through collaboration with colleagues and attending events and engagements where appropriate to promote the FONWAA gaming products.
- To keep abreast of developments within the lottery sector to identify opportunities and trends, identifying areas for maximising income generation and governance improvement.

- GCSEs: including minimum of Grade C in English and Maths
- Fundraising or Marketing related qualification
**Experience**
- Experience of effective account management of third party suppliers
- Familiarity with financial budgets and targets
- Experience of using an organisational database
- Experience in a lottery fundraising environment
- Experience of effective income generation through developing a varied lottery programme
- Received training in compliance regarding Society Lotteries and their compliance with the Gambling Act and the LCCP.
