**Fully Remote**(Office attendance if required)
**Package**: £30,000-40,000
**Shift Pattern**: 2 x 12-hour days, 2 x 12-hour nights, 4 off. One hour for lunch
- Radius is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading MSP clients. We are seeking a Cloud Service Continuity Engineer with good Microsoft Infrastructure experience and Azure. _
Statement of job purpose:
The Service Continuity Team carries out 24x7 monitoring; support; maintenance; patching and upgrades to ensure Managed IT Services are delivered successfully to its customers.
The Service Continuity Team also has responsibility for response; isolation; containment and remediation of InfoSec incidents/events.
**Responsibilities**:
- Providing technical support and 24x7 monitoring for Managed & Public Cloud environments and customers
- Daily handover of incidents and general task progress
- Daily backup checks
- Updating progress and results of agreed changes and patching delivered by the Service Continuity team within Managed Services/hosting infrastructure
- Ensuring updates are provided for configuration information, where changes are made by the Service Continuity team
- Ensuring updates for release management, where releases are delivered by the Service Continuity team
- Assist in the definition; implementation and maintenance of efficient and effective service continuity processes, procedures, and documentation
- Carrying out security-related operational tasks to maintain technical security, including management of alert notifications from various sources
- Identifying; validating and responding to security events, service requests, and incidents logged
- Working with the Security team to improve incident processes and procedures relating to end-to-end operational security activities
- In consultation with the Security team, responsibility for/management of remediation tasks and activities for vulnerabilities identified in scans ran by the Security team.
- Liaising with key contacts to manage customer expectations and ensure effective containment of security alerts/incidents received
- Ensuring SLAs and OLAs are managed and met
- Identifying areas for Service Continuity team improvement (continual improvement)
- Assisting the Client’s Project; Consultancy; Security and Service Operations teams to ensure service transition activities are followed
**Experience**
Essential:
- Experience in service delivery in an SLA-based environment / Incident Management
- Experience in technical resource management
- Experience in using Service Management systems
- ServiceNow is very desirable
**_Technical appreciation of IT environments including a sound working knowledge of;_**
- System Centre suite - particularly SCCM and SCVMM
- Hyper-V or VMWare
- Monitoring tools - SolarWinds / Azure Monitor
- Backup Technologies Veeam / Commvault
- Public Cloud - Azure AD & Virtual Machine Management
- Server patching using automated tools for deployment and implementation (SCCM and Azure update Manager).
- Proven skills in managing; supporting and maintaining Microsoft-based infrastructure
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly and on an out-of-hours based rota system, including weekends and bank holidays
