**About the role**

The macro researcher will work closely with trading teams to create and manage research that is relevant, accurate and available for teams to access and discuss as required.

The Macro Researcher will:

- Undertake macroeconomic and fundamental equity research
- Attribute market drivers and identify market moving events
- Effectively communicate relevant research and market insights to trading teams
- Remain current on market developments to help frame trading strategies
- Build an understanding of how traders consume information in real time and learn to attach the correct level of urgency with the delivery of messages of differing degrees of importance
- Build & maintain models to generate projections for fundamental market values
- Build & maintain industry datasets to analyze sector and company trends

**Requirements**:

- Familiarity with a broad range of macro-economic and global political developments, as well as the ability to identify and discuss relevant research with traders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with internal clients while communicating what is relevant and important in a clear and concise manner
- A genuine interest in macro-economic, political developments and options trading with a desire to broaden skills and knowledge
- Bachelors degree or equivalent academic qualification
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant financial research experience
