We are actively recruiting an ambitious, driven, and caring Community Engagement Officer for our office to manage, develop and help grow the business.

At Living at Home, we pride ourselves on quality and tailor every home care package to meet the Client’s needs with a preferred minimum duration of one hour per home visit.

We are looking for someone who will always go over and above our expectations, put quality of care at the forefront of everything you do and be able to develop a strong team to continuously strive for excellence.

You will be a fundamental pillar in the overall connection with our wider Swansea community.

**Scope of the Position**

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Community Engagement Officer to assist the organisation in achieving its aims and objectives regarding communities.

The post-holder will support Living at Home in helping residents as well as engaging with community groups and organisations across Swansea.

They will also engage with specific local area campaigns on local issues.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To represent the Living at Home and promote services to prospective Clients in a variety of settings frequented by the target group, including residential sheltered accommodation, libraries, shopping centres, church groups etc.
- Working with and building relationships with local community groups and organisations.
- Liaising with the Business Owner and Registered Manager with regards to the local marketing/promotional opportunity requirements of the organisation
- Getting to know and understand local issues.
- To organise, implement, facilitate and manage the presence of Living at Home at relevant local business premises or events
- Attend surgeries and other meetings relating to constituents’ queries and casework
- To liaise with local organisations e.g. charities and other groups which support the target group and organise promotional talks/information sessions
- Contribute to campaigns on key local issues
- To liaise with the Care Manager to organise social events for Clients and staff to attend on a regular or seasonal basis e.g. coffee mornings, Christmas activities, summer events etc.

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills including using Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Previous experience of working with community organisations and campaign experience is desirable
- Holding a valid driving licence and having access to a vehicle
- Previous casework experience and community engagement desirable
- Awareness of Welsh issues and devolution
- Welsh speaker desirable

**What we’re looking for**

We are looking for someone with strong people skills with proven experience and confidence in community engagement.

You should also be caring, friendly, and reliable individual with good communication skills who love helping others and who want to make a difference every day.

You should live locally to Swansea for this role, have a driving licence and your own vehicle.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £10,000.00 per year
