Over the last 35 years, The CGM Group has grown into the region’s leading Grounds Maintenance company. We provide a wide and varied range of services including Grounds Maintenance, Horticulture, Arboriculture, and Landscaping, to both the public and private sector clients.

We are looking to recruit Team Leaders for a Prestigious Grounds Maintenance Contract, based in Cambridge.

The role will include liaising with customers and completing all aspects of Grounds maintenance on-site visits on either a static site or weekly or fortnightly visits, either lone working or working in a team depending on season or workload.

This role is being offered on a full-time basis. Hours of work are: 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing...
- Supporting the Assistant Manager to ensure that the team members operating on the rounds for which you are responsible, leave for the site in a prompt and well-presented manner.
- Communicate to your teams the daily tasks they must undertake to ensure that the program is met. Working with them to identify any potential problems and ensure that they are aware of any site-specific information they may need.
- Lead your teams by acting in a professional manner at all times, ensuring you are on time, communicating appropriately and in a non-offensive manner, and demonstrating the correct use of the H&S procedures.
- Continually looking for innovative solutions to improve systems of work and making the Assistant Contracts Manager aware.

Duties to include...
- Mowing grass areas
- Strimming
- Pruning shrubs and hedges with mechanical and hand-operated equipment.
- Minor tree works
- Weeding
- Leaf collecting
- Edging
- Digging/forking of beds and borders
- Deadheading of flowers
- Cutting back of Herbaceous Borders
- Scarifying
- Planting new areas
- Soil preparation
- Turfing
- Fertiliser spreading

Other Grounds Maintenance duties may also be required

What we're looking for..

We are looking for a team player, with a proactive work ethic and the ability to get the job done

Essential
- Previous grounds experience
- Clean UK driving licence
- Experience towing a trailer
- PA1 and PA6

Desirable
- CS30 / CS31
- Basic Health & Safety Certificate
