Experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Due to exciting growth in our maintenance division an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor based in Cambridge. You will have a good understanding of seasonal grounds maintenance and experience with a high quality finish and possess an excellent attention to detail.

Tasks include cutting grass with ride on/push mowers and strimmers; pruning shrubs and trees with shears, hedge cutters, and chainsaws (if qualified); removal of weeds with herbicide and by hand; leaf and debris collection using blowers, vacuums, and our Schmidt Road Sweeper (skills permitting). During November to March, there is also the opportunity to carry out gritting overnight, with £100 call out fee and pay at time and half.

You will work as part of a team carrying out high specification works on estates throughout Cambridge in a company vehicle. Hours of work will be 45 hours per week (if travelling direct to site), Monday to Friday, with opportunity for overtime paid at time and a half during the week and on Saturdays if available and desired.

Essential:

  • Full clean driving licence
  • Experience in grounds maintenance (hands on 5 yrs + preferred)
  • PA1 & PA6
  • Good face to face client liaison skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Previous supervisory experience/team leader

Preferred:

  • DBS
  • Horticultural qualification
  • Experience with large ride on/agricultural machinery
  • Other tickets, e.g. chainsaw, forestry and arboriculture

  • Experience in client liaison and delivery of high quality specification
