**Business Development Manager - Passive Fire (Fire Doors)
£55K - £70K Basic Salary with OTE up to £125K per annum**

**Howells is working with a leading contractor operating within the passive fire protection market, specialising in fire door installation projects ranging from £1k to £2m predominantly within Social Housing and Local Authority. Due to continued expansion,we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager Manager to drive sales in London and the Northern Home Counties.

You will manage a number of Key Accounts as well as developing new business within the region, targeting Commercial Properties including Building Managers, Student Accommodation, Retail and Office space, and Contractors delivering new build and refurbishmentprojects that want to subcontract their passive fire works.

The main purpose of the role is to secure opportunities linked to the strategic growth criteria. Identifying, engaging and building relationships with previous, current or new clients targeting Passive Fire (Fire Door) from £100K - £2m.

You will have a proven track record driving solution-orientated sales within Passive Fire (Fire Doors / Fire Stopping), Construction, Social Housing or Regeneration sectors.

The key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will include:

- Research the market and networking, face to face meetings, telephone and attending specific events
- Analysis of research to identify target customers by understanding their needs and whose forward plans, values and core purpose match our business plans
- Develop and manage a forward pipeline of opportunity for the business
- Proactively develop meaningful relationships with target customers, existing customers and consultants in line with our business strategy
- PQQ & Bid Management in collaboration with relevant internal departments
- Sell new propositions to clients and target clients where there is a strategic fit
- Raise client profile by representing them industry specific events
- Maintain accurate and up to date information within the internal sales system

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to have the following experience:

- Degree-level education or formal recognised sales training
- Commercially minded with an analytic, solutions-driven approach
- Self-motivated, driven and a relentless relationship builder
- Personable with outstanding verbal & written communication skills
- Knowledge of Passive Fire / Fire Doors / FRA, Construction, Social Housing or Regeneration sectors.
