**Trainee Nurturing Teaching Assistant**

**£350 per week/ £70 per day - 6.5 hours per day**

**The school
The school is based in the Roath area of Cardiff area and is easily accessible by public transport. The team of staff within the school are extremely welcoming and friendly, which creates a great working environment, especially for a new teaching assistantjoining the team. The school has newly had a large refurbishment, with three brand new classrooms and innovative technology which you will be working with. The school is an extremely diverse school and has a very effective anti-bullying policy.

**The role
You will be working within the year 1 class, alongside a young girl who struggles with her social skills due to a lack of confidence. You will mainly be focusing on developing her confidence and helping her to engage with the other children in the class.Numeracy and literacy will also be included in this role; however, you will always have thorough guidance from the class teacher.The role will also be based within the classroom and at time outside, playing games and activities. You will also have the chanceto go on school trips and take part in events organised by the school.Most of all, you will be a friendly familiar face for the young girl

**About you:
- Have a passion for working with children
- Experience supporting children previously - This can be from a professional work setting or from personal experience, for example, your own children or children within the family.
- Have a positive, enthusiastic, and patient personality

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
