We have an exciting opportunity to join a small team of welcome staff and volunteers. As a Welcome and Service Assistant, you are the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

**Salary**:£21,021

**Contract/duration**:Permanent

**Hours/working pattern**:Full Time. You'll be required to work weekends and a number of Bank Holidays as part of your role.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you'll work within a small team of around 3 staff, plus volunteers.

The Longshaw Estate is often used by many as the gateway into the Peak District and is part of the larger National Trust Peak District Portfolio. Longshaw is one of the three key visitor hubs across the portfolio and consists of cafe and visitor facilities as well as several car parks leading to wider landscape walks and an education centre ran in partnership with the Peak District National Park Authority.

The Peak District is on a mission to be the place of choice for inspiring outdoor experiences, where everyone is enabled to go on a journey of exploration in a landscape being actively managed to the highest international standards for conservation, access, and wider public benefits.

What you'll be doing:Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.
