What it's like to work here The role is based at the Longshaw Estate, a countryside site in the Peak District with a visitor hub and is part of a small team of 3 Welcome & Service Assistants. The Longshaw Estate near Sheffield forms part of the National Trust Peak District portfolioalong with the High Peak Estate and Ilam and Dovedale in the White Peak, welcoming a total of 13m visitors a year. Availability to work weekends and bank holidays is essential.

This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year

What you'll be doing You’ll be providing visitors with a warm welcome and tailoring information to suit each visitors’ specific needs, having meaningful conversations and sharing stories. You’ll love putting visitors at the heart of what we do, providing excellent service everytime to create a lasting impression.

You’ll be stationed at the Welcome Building, keeping an eye on presentation and general visitor services across the main hub area. You’ll help the team keep the site looking clean, tidy and presentable. You’ll work with a team of Welcome Volunteers andhelp to grow support for our cause through service and fundraising by promoting our second-hand bookshop and membership.
