We are looking for a HR Officer to join the HR team in Burradon. Reporting to the site General Manager, the HR Officer is responsible for the overall HR generalist remit, providing advice and guidance across a range of HR responsibilities - absence management, talent, retention and employee wellbeing, recruitment, modern slavery & ethics, performance and employee relations

Provide professional support and advise to Management and employees on generalist HR issues including:
- Disciplinary and Grievance

HR Policies and Procedures

Recruitment

Ethical standards

Assist with implementing HR Strategies, ensuring sound understanding across site via various methods of communication.

Administration support for the People manager when required.

General HR Administration.

Operate HR Data Base and Time and Attendance system.

Compile Reports when required.

Ensure that employee records are updated and maintained ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy CIPD qualified or experience in the following core HR areas:
Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience of delivering centrally devised strategies locally in the areas of recruitment and selection, absence management, employee engagement, employee relations, retention, and performance management.

Great interpersonal skills and an approachable attitude

Self-motivated, methodical, well organised with exceptional interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels.

Good working knowledge of UK employment law, HR Policies and Procedures.

THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN BURRADON, NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE
