We are now recruiting for a support worker in Edgware which is a 24 hour service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who wants to expand their current knowledge and set of skills. This position is ideal for someone who would like to gain more experience within Mental Health and who has a kind, caring nature and passion for supporting vulnerable adults every day and truly making a difference to somebody's life.

You must be able to commit to working full time, including sleep in shifts and weekends. We work on a rota basis which is fairy set weekly or monthly to ensure everybody is treated equally with their shift patterns.

Some of our clients stay with us for many years, so it is important you have the nature to be able to professionally connect with our clients building strong key working relationships which we believe is the key to supporting our clients with their needs and helping them better their lives.

Day to day duties and Reponsibilies as a Support Worker do vary, and they do depend on the individual client you are supporting. However, our objective is always the same and the below is an outline of everything that would be expected from you as a Support Worker working for our company.

Supporting our clients maintain their personal care

Supporting our clients to maintain their accommodation

Supporting our clients prepare meals

Supporting our clients budget their finances

Supporting our clients to any appointments they may need support to

Supporting our clients on their holidays/days out

Supporting our client administer medication

Encouraging our clients to have a healthier lifestyle

Encouraging our clients to socialise with people they live with, people from the outside community

Keeping documents and notes up to date daily

Ensuring you are productive and pro-active when on shift

Ensuring you are observant and able to notice changes in our clients behaviour

Ensuring you have a good understanding of the clients you support personality's and interests so you

Ensuring you keep information updated at all times and providing your team with all updates regarding our clients

Each of our clients have a individual care plan that you are to come familiar with when you join the company. It is important you have fantastic English literature and language skills for this role.

A minimum of NVQ Level 2 is preferred for this role. However, the opportunity of being enrolled on to this course to obtain your qualification would be offered to you upon a successful 3 month probationary period.

Driving License preferred but not essential for your role of Support Worker.

All training will be provided throughout your 2 week paid induction period

You will be required to complete online core courses before carrying out any alone working or sleep in shifts

DBS is essential

28 days paid holiday inclusive of the 8 bank holiday days.

A real incentive to earn some good money with overtime and sleep ins.

Based on your standard 40 hour per week contract and 1 sleep in per week you will earn £20,712.00 per year. With overtime and more sleep in's each week you can earn an extra £4,199.00+ per year.
