We are a team of Employment Support Workers (Job Coach/ Job Aid / Enabling) with a huge amount of experience in employment support, and who are dedicated to making the workplace better for autistic adults. Our approach is very person centered. We get to know each person and build a strong relationship and trust. We don’t make assumptions. We look at individual needs and understand the difficulties and experiences of employment. We are here to provide the right training and support to help Autistic adults develop in their jobs and be the best they can be.

**Job description**

Summary: Do you have experience supporting autistic adults? We are looking for an ambitious Support Worker to join our team and help us expand our support services.

About Us: The Autism Support Service enables autistic adults to maintain employment, independence, and social skills in a range of settings. The Autism Support service provides office-based employment support to autistic adults in a variety of roles, such as marketing, IT, design, and retail. Currently, the support we provide is for people who are already in employment.

The Autism Support Service are looking for Support Workers with experience in autism, to work with a dynamic out of the box thinking team to deliver in-work support to autistic adults.

Job Role: To provide in work support to autistic adults, specifically:

- To provide bespoke, person centered support in accordance with their individual support needs.
- Identify needs and outcomes and supporting their progress towards them.
- Keep all documentation up to date, stored securely, detailing support needed and provided on a daily basis, including hours, outcomes and progress.
- Have regular supervision of support work provided.

In addition, Support Workers are encouraged to get involved in team projects such as creating well being materials and take time for their own professional development.

Additional Information:

- Knowledge of autism
- Previous support experience
- Exceptional patience and listening skills
- Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to prioritize.
- Good communication and customer service skills
- ICT literate, including Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to work alone and self-motivate
- Clean DBS
