**Hours of work are 9am - 5pm (Monday to Friday) Start/finish times may vary by mutual agreement daily, earliest will be 8am, latest 6pm, (but not at the same time)**
**Job description**:
Working closely with the Operations Manager in coordinating all bookings for our clients and ensuring that they are collected in a quick and timely manner, and delivered on time.
**Duties include**:
- Working closely with the Operations Manager to allocate job bookings from our proprietary computer system to our drivers.
- Answering and dealing with calls from all of our drivers and providing clear management.
- Resolving operational issues with our drivers.
- Monitoring all deadlines for collections and deliveries, and liaising with Customer Services on any delays or issues which require communicating to our clients.
- Ensuring all drivers are compliant with clients’ paperwork and processes.
- Accurately taking and communicating instructions from clients relating to individual collections and deliveries
- Understanding the need to escalate collection and delivery disputes and report to the Operations Manager, so that they can act quickly and efficiently.
- Ensuring that proof of deliveries are fully up-to-date on all running jobs in real time.
- Ensuring that deadlines for running consignments are monitored continuously to maintain operational standards, and advising Customer Services fifteen minutes prior to the agreed deadline;
- Ensuring that the Customer Services Department are kept appraised, on a real time basis, of all delays or issues which may affect compliance with the client’s requirements and company commitments.
- Booking on collections and deliveries for our clients.
- Working closely with the Customer Services team.
- General administration.
- Applicant must be hard working and able to work within a team and on their own initiative.
- You must have a good attitude and be able to cope working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
- You must be deadline driven, and able to work at times under extreme pressure.
- Computer literate.
- Experience in logistics or operations is preferred.
