Axon Moore are working with a high growth SME who have created a new role for a Management Accountant to join the team.
Following recent PE investment, the business are undergoing rapid growth both organically and through acquisition, adding to the number of acquisitions they have already made over the last 10-15 years.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Ownership of accounting for 3 key businesses within the division
- Lead the processing and production of monthly management accounts including production of P&L, balance sheets, cash and business forecasts and related analysis
- Acting as a key business partner with the operational leaders, ensuring accurate business reporting and strong operational/cost control as well as identifying margin improvements and growth opportunities.
- Prepare budgets including scenario planning and independent challenge. Roll out the approved budgets and ensure the operational team have a full understanding of financial expectations
- Act as a supervisor for a team of 5, with an important part to play in continuing to develop a high performance and supportive culture within the team.
- Responsibility for balance sheet, including reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Implementation and regular review of balance sheet reconciliations and controls
- Working with the Finance Manager, design, document and implement accounting policy within the area of responsibility
- CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified
- Minimum 3-5 years management accounts experience
- Team player with a positive outlook and a willingness to be ‘hands on’
