We are currently recruiting trainee IPA roles to work on our Conwy & Denbighshire contract but if you already have the QCF level 3/4 in Advocacy, why not join our pan Wales team?
The role is to deliver our Independent Advocacy service in Conwy & Denbighshire. The place of work is flexible. We have an office in Bryn Eirias, Colwyn Bay, but we can offer this position as office or hybrid working following a successful probation. There will be regular travel throughout Conwy & Denbighshire, and occasionally to our head office in Pontypridd.
The successful applicants will need to be dynamic and self-motivated, work on their own initiative and are fiercely committed to the rights of disabled people and to the value of advocacy. You will be computer literate with a high standard of written and verbal communication, and will have achieved QCF Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Independent Professional Advocacy.
As an Independent Professional Advocate, you will be working with individuals to ensure their voices are heard in decisions that affect their care and support and ensuring their rights are upheld. The post holder must be confident in supporting and representing individual disabled people in a variety of situations and in respect of diverse issues.
Dewis C.I.L is an independent voluntary organisation with an integrated management committee of disabled and non-disabled people. We particularly encourage disabled people and people with direct experience of disability to apply.
