Our client, a leading London university is currently looking to recruit a part time Head of Student Lifecycle Events & Engagement. The main purpose of this role is management and strategic oversight of university events. This position is offered as one-yearfixed term contract, to cover maternity leave. It is a 0.6FTE role, which is a job share (3 days per week) and ideally the hours would be worked on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but this is negotiable.

As their Head of Student Lifecycle Events & Engagement, you will lead the strategic planning, development and execution of a comprehensive events and engagement programme. Set appropriate KPIs and objectives and instigate reviews and development, puttingappropriate measures in place to monitor and analyse impact and implement solutions. Proactively build networks with central and faculty colleagues across the organisation, to foster a collaborative approach and gain an understanding of the student lifecycleand the evolving needs of students from year to year. To provide leadership and line management to the Student Lifecycle Events and Engagement team motivating them through effective objective setting, clear definition of job roles, communication of relevantstrategies and plans. Monitor and oversee the allocated budget for events ensuring that these are delivered to budget. In so doing, to negotiate with suppliers to seek competitive quotes, agree appropriate terms and service levels.

To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience of working both within large scale events and in a client facing role, ideally from within a higher education setting, although transferable experience from another sector will be considered.You will be organised, with excellent attention to detail along with possessing strong stakeholder engagement and management skills. The ability to build good working relationships with a range of colleagues and to develop networks outside of the department.Previous line management experience will be required for this post, along with an enthusiasm for and interest in the student experience, preferably with an understanding of key university events.
