Payroll Manager

This role will be accountable for all aspects of payroll, including the efficient management of our hourly paid and salaried payroll. Additionally, they will manage the company's procedures and systems used to capture all payroll transactions and productionof relevant annual financial reports for audit, external users (e.g., HMRC) and other financial stakeholders.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Oversee the development and communication of our employee benefits and discounts
- Manage governance of our company pension schemes, ensuring contributions, enrolment and communication are handled efficiently
- Stay abreast of market developments and trends in relation to reward and benefits and manage change to our benefits offering and suppliers
- Manage hourly and salaried pay review processes and ensure a fair approach is applied
- Develop and manage variable pay such that bonuses and incentives drive the right behaviors and outputs
- To be the primary person responsible for the collection and processing of all payrolls related data for all employees and ensuring that data is accurate to enable the production of fortnightly and monthly pay, statistics and financial data as required bythe group's finance and operational teams.
- Responsible for the maintenance of accurate pay records for all staff and production of relevant reports for audit and other financial reports.
- Preparation of all pay and payroll tax electronic and/or bank payment instructions for the finance team to make the relevant payments.
- Preparation and submission of all weekly, monthly and annual returns to HMRC and other government bodies as necessary.
- Responsible for the reconciliation of all payrolls related accounting balances with the payroll systems and the correction of any discrepancies.
- Responsible for the payroll systems (currently Fourth HR and payroll) including any updates, amendments and developments as required.
- Regularly review pay related data capture and operating procedures and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise closely with other members of the People team to ensure new hires, terminations, changes in employee records, remuneration and any other payroll relevant data is properly captured and recorded.
- Identify internal and external customers of the team's reports and activities and meet the requirements of those customers.
- Keep up to date of industry trends, legislation and payroll processing and reporting requirements and ensure that the Wasabi group adopts best in class processes, systems and reporting standards.
